Chicken Peppered Pasta

Chicken is one of the meats I cannot have enough of. This pasta meal takes just 10 minutes to cook. I used shell shaped pasta. It is not only delicious, it makes cooking enjoyable. Along with my chicken and pasta, I also used bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushroom.

I find these ingredients easy to source and cook. You can use any type of mushroom or you can even use any vegetable of your choice. For me, bell pepper and onions are a must in my cooking. Bell pepper supply dose of vitamin C and the beauty pepper add to food cannot be ignored.

All the ingredients I used are healthy and this recipe can be added to your weight loss menu. Pasta is healthy if eaten in moderation. There are so many  misconception about pasta. Know the food you eat and you will live healthily.

Ingredients
Pasta ( I chose macaroni pasta)
Bell Pepper
Onions
Mushroom
Chicken
Sunflower oil 3 Tablespoon
Chopped tomatoes

This is what to do

Prepare your pasta according to instruction on the pack.  Drain ,run cold water through your drained pasta and keep to a side.  Prepare your chicken by browning it in a little oil for few second until cook.

To prepare the pasta base, chop all your vegetables and keep to a side. Saute your onions in oil, add the chopped red pepper and your chopped tomatoes. Season with  salt and black pepper. Reduce heat and let the vegetables simmer for 2 minutes.

Add your chicken ,mushroom and pasta. Stir and allow to cook for another 5  minutes on low heat, stirring from time to time. Your chicken peppered pasta is ready when all the ingredients are combined.

Serve with cheese or garlic bread.
