It Was Never Easy Leaving My Home Country

I have left my heart in so many places.

I stood at the balcony of my two-bedroom flat gazing into space. The air was a bit musky and I was unsure of how to channel my thoughts. This was the last night I spent in my home country before leaving for gleaming life the United Kingdom promised

The night market underneath my flat was alive as always. The street lights high above diluted the thickness of night.

Once In A While

The half-term break has just begun. The last week leading to the half-term was a struggle. The week seem longer than normal and I just wanted to scream each morning I dropped the children off to school.

The same scenario played itself repeatedly. Parents with children, some chatty some grumpy. Cars of all modes scattered around, people watchful of the minute the bell would go off, some break into a run, others just wouldn’t bother.
