How to infuse oil for skin and hair care.

April 24, 2017

Infused oil has been around for years. It is a simple way to care for your skin and hair growth. Infused oil simply means mixture of herbs or flowers with oil. There are great numbers of natural oils and herbs to choose from just like there are different methods of oil infusion.

To infuse your oil, you first need to decide on the method to use.  I used solar energy to infuse my oil and here is what I did. This is simply the use of the sun to naturally infuse oil.

First, you need to decide on the herbs to use same goes with the natural oils. You can use any natural oil, but, make sure you use oils that have  longer  shelf-life.

Fresh herbs could also be used, however, I used dried herbs for convenience and to prevent my oil getting rancid easily. I used dried lavender, calendula (also known as Marigold petals) and Moringa seeds. I used almond oil, grape seed oil, olive oil and a bit of castor oil.

Place herbs in a clean, dry container. Pour your chosen oil into the container making sure to cover your herbs or flowers with oil.

Stir the mixture thoroughly and put the lid tightly on the container.

Place your container with the oil mixture in a sunny spot or warm windowsill. Shake once or more daily to help with the infusion. The sun helps to extract all the goodness in the herbs or flowers into the oil.

Keep an eye on your mixture. Shake once or twice daily.

Strain the herbs out of the oil after about 2 to 3 weeks. Squeeze out every drop of oil out of the herbs to get all the goodness.

Pour your infused oil into a dry clean container and keep in a cool dry place. You can add few drops of Vitamin E for added benefit.

Your infused oil could be use neatly on skin and hair. You can also add it to bath water, use on cracked lips and heels or use as bases for your body butter see http://: https://www.sherryfah2.com/staging/6097/make-anti-aging-body-butter/

Infused oil is a good way to preserve the goodness of herbs and their properties.

Make use of the sun. Infuse your oil for great skin and healthy hair.

Thanks. I'm reading about infused oil for the first time. Please can you tell me which herbs to use and how to get them. Thanks.

There are many herbs to choose from depending on their properties. Why not start with peppermint or spare mint leaves. You can infuse these in olive or coconut oil. You will end up with infused oil for hair growth. Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks for stopping by. I feel greatly honoured. I will advise you to use dried aloe vera leaves if you are thinking of infusing your oil with it. Using fresh aloe vera leaves might make the oil go rancid before the infusion circle is completed due to the fresh gel in aloe vera. Why not give it a go with fresh or dried and let me know how it goes. Thank you, brother.
